Lainey Wilson's recent collaboration with the Black Crowes happened in a very natural way. According to Chris Robinson, he unexpectedly crossed paths with the country singer and discovered that she was a fan of their music.
On the Black Crowes' latest album, "Happiness Bastards," there is a song called "Wilted Rose." According to Robinson in an interview with Loudwire Nights, he had the chance to meet Wilson at a country awards show. At the 2023 CMT Music Awards, the Black Crowes collaborated with Darius Rucker for a performance of "She Talks to Angels."
Robinson remembers how kind and lovely she was, expressing her excitement by saying, "I can't believe it, I was a big fan of the Black Crowes when I was younger."
During a break between interviews, there was a brief moment where (Producer Jay Joyce) asked her to do something, and she willingly agreed to it.
Joyce was also responsible for producing Wilson's previous two albums. "Wilted Rose" is the first instance where the Black Crowes collaborated with a different vocalist for an album.

Robinson acknowledged the immense talent of the artist and recognized that she was experiencing her superstar moment. They expressed their happiness for her and their belief that she would continue to achieve great things, as she was already on that path.
It is believed that Wilson is currently working on her upcoming album, although no information or songs from those recording sessions have been shared with the public. "Wildflowers and Wild Horses" is the latest single released from Wilson's album, Bell Bottom Country.
