The collaboration between Lainey Wilson and the Black Crowes happened in a very natural way. Chris Robinson, the lead singer of the Black Crowes, happened to meet Lainey Wilson by chance and discovered that she was a fan of their music. This led to their new song together.

In an interview with Loudwire Nights, Robinson reveals that he had the opportunity to meet Wilson at a country awards show. Additionally, the Black Crowes teamed up with Darius Rucker to perform "She Talks to Angels" at the 2023 CMT Music Awards.
Robinson reminisces about the girl, describing her as a very kind and endearing person. According to him, she expressed her excitement by stating, "I can't believe it! I've been a fan of the Black Crowes since childhood."
During a break in the interviews, there was a brief moment where Producer Jay Joyce asked her to do something, and she complied without hesitation.
Joyce was also responsible for producing Wilson's previous two albums. "Wilted Rose" represents a significant milestone for the Black Crowes as it is the first occasion where they collaborated with a different vocalist for an album.

During an interview, Robinson reminisces about being in Los Angeles after completing the main part of the record. Upon hearing it, they were amazed and expressed their admiration by saying "Wow." They acknowledged the exceptional talent of the individual being discussed and acknowledged that she is currently experiencing a period of immense fame and success. Robinson expressed happiness for her and believes that she will continue to achieve remarkable things, as she is already doing so.
It is believed that Wilson is currently working on her upcoming album, however, there is no information or songs that have been leaked from these recording sessions. Her most recent single is called "Wildflowers and Wild Horses" and it is featured on the album Bell Bottom Country.
