Lainey Wilson's collaboration with the Black Crowes happened in a very natural way. Chris Robinson, the lead vocalist of the band, happened to meet Lainey Wilson by coincidence and discovered that she was a fan of their music.
On the Black Crowes' latest album called Happiness Bastards, there is a song titled "Wilted Rose". Robinson, in an interview with Loudwire Nights, mentions that he had a chance encounter with Wilson at a country awards show red carpet. Additionally, the Black Crowes teamed up with Darius Rucker to perform "She Talks to Angels" at the 2023 CMT Music Awards.
Robinson remembers how kind and endearing she was, expressing her enthusiasm by saying, "I can't believe it, I was a fan of the Black Crowes since I was a child."
During a brief break in interviews, Producer Jay Joyce asked her a question and she spontaneously agreed to do it.
Joyce was also involved in the production of Wilson's previous two albums. "Wilted Rose" represents a significant milestone for the Black Crowes as it is the first time they have collaborated with a different vocalist on an album.

Wilson continues to solidify her position as one of the most vibrant and versatile female artists in the country music genre. Over the past three years, she has collaborated with esteemed musicians such as Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, Cole Swindell, Chase Rice, Hardy, Lauren Alaina, and Darren Criss. Additionally, Wilson contributed her rendition of the Rolling Stones' hit "You Can't Always Get What You Want" to the Stone Cold Country tribute album dedicated to the Stones, while also showcasing her acting skills in the popular Western drama series, Yellowstone.
During an interview, Robinson recalls being in Los Angeles at a time when the main part of the record was already over. Upon hearing the news, Robinson and others were impressed and amazed. It was undeniable that the artist in question possessed immense talent and was experiencing a moment of stardom. Robinson expressed genuine joy and support for the artist, confident that they would continue to achieve remarkable things, as they were already doing so.
It is believed that Wilson is currently working on her upcoming album, however, there is no information or songs that have been released from those recording sessions. Her latest single is "Wildflowers and Wild Horses" from the album Bell Bottom Country.
