The collaboration between Lainey Wilson and the Black Crowes happened in a very natural way. According to Chris Robinson, he happened to meet the country singer by coincidence and discovered that she was a fan of their music.
Search for a track titled "Wilted Rose" on the latest album called "Happiness Bastards" by the Black Crowes. In an interview with Loudwire Nights, Robinson mentions that he crossed paths with Wilson at a country awards ceremony. Additionally, at the 2023 CMT Music Awards, the Black Crowes collaborated with Darius Rucker for a rendition of "She Talks to Angels."
Robinson remembers how kind and lovely she was, expressing her admiration for the Black Crowes by saying, "I can't believe it, I've been a fan since my childhood."
During a short break between interviews, Producer Jay Joyce approached her and requested something. Without hesitation, she agreed and completed the task.
Joyce was also responsible for producing Wilson's previous two albums. "Wilted Rose" represents a significant milestone for the Black Crowes as it is the first instance where they collaborated with a different vocalist on one of their albums.

Wilson's reputation as a highly talented female artist in the country music industry continues to grow with this new collaboration. Furthermore, she showcased her acting skills in the Western drama series, Yellowstone.
During an interview, Robinson reflects on the time when they were in Los Angeles. It was after the main part of the record and they heard something that impressed them. They were amazed by the immense talent and success of the person being discussed. Robinson expresses their happiness for this individual and believes that they will continue to achieve great things, as they already have been doing so.
It is believed that Wilson is currently working on her upcoming studio album, although no information or songs from these sessions have been revealed yet. Her latest single, "Wildflowers and Wild Horses," can be found on the album Bell Bottom Country.
