Sound Radix has recently released Auto-Align 2.1, an innovative audio alignment tool that promises to enhance the audio production process with improved precision and effectiveness.

Auto-Align 2.1 enhances audio quality by eliminating the negative effects of comb-filtering, reducing the blurring of transients, and optimizing the phase of each microphone to preserve the complete and clear sound captured. The updated version improves the alignment process by increasing its speed, introducing a new module for spectral phase correction, refining the algorithm, and providing a more user-friendly interface.

The updated version of Auto-Align aims to make your work process more efficient. With a simple click, Auto-Align 2.1 can align all your microphones at once. This innovative feature saves you time and guarantees that your audio is perfectly synchronized and in phase, leading to enhanced clarity, size, and stereo image.

The Spectral Phase Optimization feature in Auto-Align 2.1 addresses the issue of phase shifts that can occur within certain frequency ranges. These phase shifts can negatively impact the quality of the audio signal, making it sound disjointed and lacking richness. When filters are applied during recording, different frequency bands may experience different phase shifts, resulting in a distorted and unclear sound. The Spectral Phase Optimization feature automatically identifies and corrects these phase shifts, ensuring that your audio is aligned perfectly and sounds its best.

The updated version also has enhancements to its main algorithm, the option to enable or disable group time alignment, the optimization of spectral phase on a track-by-track basis, four preset locations for conveniently comparing different settings, and the capability to export/import alignment settings for a more efficient workflow across various projects.

Industry professionals have already given high praise to Auto-Align 2.1. Greg Wurth, an acclaimed producer, mixer, and engineer, commented that the way Auto-Align 2 works on drums, bass, or guitar is truly remarkable. Similarly, Darrell Thorp, a 10-time GRAMMY-winning engineer, mentioned that he includes Auto-Align 2 in his drum plug-in chain for every new mix or song he begins.

The latest version of Auto-Align, which is Auto-Align 2.1, can be purchased for $199. It can be used on macOS 10.9 or later, and requires a 64-bit Intel CPU or Apple Silicon. For Windows, it is compatible with 64-bit Intel or AMD CPUs and Windows 10 or later. The plug-in formats available are AAX, Audio Unit, VST3, and ARA2.
