Sound Radix has released Auto-Align 2.1, a cutting-edge tool for audio alignment that promises to enhance the audio production process with improved precision and productivity.

Auto-Align 2.1 enhances the audio quality by reducing comb-filtering effects, minimizing the blurring of transients, and improving the phase alignment of each microphone to ensure a clear and accurate sound reproduction. This latest version also streamlines the alignment process, introduces a new module for spectral phase correction, improves the algorithm, and offers a more user-friendly interface.

Enhanced Efficiency

The latest edition of Auto-Align aims to simplify and expedite your workflow. By simply clicking a button, Auto-Align 2.1 has the ability to align all the microphones you have in one go. This innovative feature not only saves your precious time but also guarantees precise synchronization and phase alignment of your audio, leading to enhanced clarity, dimension, and stereo image.

The Spectral Phase Optimization feature in Auto-Align 2.1 addresses the issue of phase shifts that can happen in certain frequency ranges. These phase shifts can cause the audio signal to sound less coherent and lack richness. When filters are used during recording, different frequency bands may experience different phase shifts, resulting in a distorted and unclear sound. The Spectral Phase Optimization feature detects and corrects these phase shifts automatically, ensuring that your audio is perfectly aligned and sounding its best.

The upgraded version of the software has enhancements in its core algorithm, allowing for better performance. It also provides the option to enable or disable group time alignment, optimizing the spectral phase of each track individually. Additionally, there are four preset locations available for convenient comparison of various settings. Moreover, users can export and import alignment settings, facilitating a smoother workflow across different projects.

Auto-Align 2.1 has received positive feedback from experts in the industry. Greg Wurth, a renowned producer/mixer/engineer who has won multiple platinum awards, describes the impact of Auto-Align 2 on drums, bass, or guitar as truly remarkable. Similarly, Darrell Thorp, a highly acclaimed engineer who has won 10 GRAMMY awards, includes Auto-Align 2 in his drum plug-in chain for every new mix or song he works on.

You can now purchase Auto-Align 2.1 for $199. It can be used on macOS 10.9 or a newer version, as long as you have a 64-bit Intel CPU or Apple Silicon. On Windows, you need a 64-bit Intel or AMD CPU and Windows 10 or a newer version. The plug-in formats available are AAX, Audio Unit, VST3, and ARA2.
