Sound Radix has released Auto-Align 2.1, a highly sophisticated tool designed to enhance and streamline the audio production process by improving audio alignment.
Auto-Align 2.1 enhances the quality of sound captured by microphones by removing comb-filtering, reducing the blurring of transients, and optimizing the phase spectrum of each microphone. This updated version improves the alignment process by making it faster, introducing a new module for spectral phase correction, refining the algorithm, and providing a more user-friendly interface.
Improved Efficiency
The updated Auto-Align software is specifically designed to make your workflow more efficient. With a simple click, Auto-Align 2.1 can align all of your microphones in one go. This innovative feature saves you precious time and guarantees that your audio is flawlessly aligned in terms of timing and phase, leading to enhanced clarity, dimension, and stereo image.
The Spectral Phase Optimization feature of Auto-Align 2.1 is designed to fix phase shifts that may occur in certain frequency ranges, resulting in an audio signal that sounds more harmonious and full. When filters are used during recording, different frequency bands may undergo different phase shifts, which can lead to a distorted and indistinct sound. Spectral Phase Optimization is able to identify and rectify these phase shifts automatically, ensuring that your audio is perfectly aligned and sounds its very best.
The updated version also comes with enhanced core algorithm, the option to enable or disable group time alignment, optimization of spectral phase on a per-track basis, four preset locations for effortless comparison of various configurations, and the capability to export and import alignment settings to make the workflow more efficient across different projects.
Industry experts have been highly impressed with the performance of Auto-Align 2.1. Greg Wurth, a highly accomplished producer, mixer, and engineer who has received multiple platinum awards, describes the impact of Auto-Align 2 on drums, bass, or guitar as truly extraordinary. Similarly, Darrell Thorp, a highly respected engineer with 10 Grammy awards to his name, includes Auto-Align 2 in his drum plug-in chain for every new mix or song he begins working on.
You can currently purchase Auto-Align 2.1 for $199. This software can be used on macOS 10.9 or newer, with a 64-bit Intel CPU or Apple Silicon. For Windows users, it requires a 64-bit Intel or AMD CPU and Windows 10 or newer. Auto-Align 2.1 is available in plug-in formats such as AAX, Audio Unit, VST3, and ARA2.
