The Spectral Phase Optimization feature in Auto-Align 2.1 is designed to fix phase shifts that may occur within specific frequency ranges. These phase shifts can negatively affect the audio signal, making it sound less coherent and less rich. When filters are used during recording, different frequency bands may experience different phase shifts, resulting in a distorted and unclear sound.
