The public beta version of Glitch Pad is currently accessible in both VST2 and VST3 formats for Windows operating systems that support 64-bit.
When NUSofting releases their plugins, they usually make them available for both Windows and Mac users. Therefore, Mac users can most likely participate in the action when the 1.0 version is released.
The origins of the plugin can be traced back several decades to when the Glitch Pad SynC Modular patch was released in 2002.
Luigi, the founder of NUSofting, has recently reworked the initial algorithm and developed an enhanced oscillator, leading to the creation of a brand new VST synthesizer.
The latest edition of the software is programmed in C++ from the ground up and can be accessed in its preliminary beta version through the developer's website, which is provided in the link below.
The beta version is completely operational and consists of 23 pre-designed settings.
Downloading the plugin created by Luigi is a straightforward process that only requires a single click. Users do not need to provide any personal information or login credentials to obtain the Zip file.
A video on YouTube has already been released, featuring an unofficial demo of the Glitch Pad. The video highlights the unique and nostalgic sound of the instrument.

The preset names, such as echo dream, echo pendulum, foggy voices, slow choir, and washed choir, give a clue about the different styles that are represented.

In terms of appearance and organization, there is some potential for improvement. However, considering that it is a free beta version, it is understandable that there may be limitations to what can be expected.
Located at the lower part of the user interface, there is a keyboard and a preset selector. Above these elements, there is a graphical depiction of the waveform.
According to the plugin's interface, users can take part in the beta for a duration of two months until it expires by the end of March 2024.
It is uncertain whether the Glitch Pad will be offered as a paid product or released as freeware following the beta testing phase. This uncertainty arises because NUSofting has previously released both paid and free software.
NUSofting is currently offering discounts on some of their synthesizers. If you enjoy the sounds they produce, it may be worth exploring their other released products.

Even though I don't use a Mac, it is clear that the majority of people who act like they are superior and dismissive about the whole operating system debate are actually Windows users. This attitude is also prevalent in the comments section.

This thing is quite amusing. It has some good ideas, such as how the pitch envelope functions. It would greatly improve if there was a low-frequency oscillator (LFO) for each of the destinations, and maybe more shapes, including some unusual ones, for better randomization. Since it's still in beta, it's possible that these improvements are already being addressed. However, if they are not, it would be great to see them implemented.

That's great! But I have a complaint to make. I really miss having the option to use Rewire. I believe that if Rewire was still available, these "intro DAWs" would be much more helpful as they could easily work alongside the DAWs we already use. It's crazy to think that as technology advances, a tool as useful as Rewire is no longer available and hasn't been adequately replaced yet. Sure, there are alternatives like Ableton Link or a Bluetooth plugin, but Rewire allowed for seamless transmission and reception of MIDI and audio directly from the DAW, without any issues or latency, while keeping everything in sync.
