For a limited time, you can purchase SubLab by Future Audio Workshop for just $10. NUSofting has recently made their Glitch Pad Synth Beta available for free on Windows. This experimental synthesizer plugin will remain in its free public beta stage until the end of March.
The public beta version of Glitch Pad is currently accessible for 64-bit Windows in both VST2 and VST3 formats.
Usually, NUSofting releases their plugins for both Windows and Mac operating systems. Therefore, Mac users will likely have the opportunity to use the plugin once it reaches version 1.0.
The history of the plugin can be traced back to the year 2002 when the Glitch Pad SynC Modular patch was first released.
The founder of NUSofting, Luigi, has recently reimagined the initial algorithm and created an enhanced oscillator, which has led to the development of a brand new VST synthesizer.
The developer has created a new version of the software using C++ programming language. This version is currently in its early beta stage and can be downloaded from the developer's website, which is provided as a link below.

Luigi has simplified the process of downloading the plugin by making it just a one-click action. There is no need to login or provide any personal information to obtain the Zip file.

The synthesizer would be perfectly suitable for genres like ambient music, experimental soundtracks, and video game music.
The preset names give a hint about the different styles, such as echo dream, echo pendulum, foggy voices, slow choir, and washed choir.
Upon initial observation, the interface for Glitch Pad presents a considerable amount of information.
In terms of appearance and design, there is still some potential for enhancement. However, since it is a free beta version, one should not expect too much.
Located towards the lower part of the interface, you will find a keyboard and a preset selector. Positioned above these elements is a visual depiction of the waveform.
According to the information provided on the plugin's interface, users will be able to participate in the beta for a duration of two months. The beta version is set to expire by the end of March 2024.
It is uncertain whether the Glitch Pad will be offered as a paid product or be released as freeware after the beta version, considering that NUSofting has previously released both paid and free versions of their products.

The suggestion to write in the title that this plugin is only compatible with Windows has already been done. I appreciate the reminder, but unfortunately, it came too late. Now, the complaints from Apple users in the comment section have become a well-known joke within the BPB community.

Similar to the disdain shown by some Windows users towards Mac users, there are also individuals who claim to be indifferent towards the whole debate about operating systems. However, it seems that these individuals are predominantly Windows users, as their presence is noticeable in the comments section.

This is an interesting and amusing device. It has some good concepts, such as the functioning of the pitch envelope. It would greatly improve if it had a low-frequency oscillator (LFO) for each of the destinations, and maybe more diverse shapes including some unconventional ones for better randomization. It's possible that these improvements are already being considered since it's in beta, but if not, it would be nice to see them implemented.

I agree, it's a shame that Rewire is no longer available. I believe if it were still around, these "intro DAWs" would be much more beneficial as they could seamlessly integrate with our existing setups. It's frustrating that something so useful has not been adequately replaced as technology advances. While there are alternatives like Ableton Link or a Bluetooth plugin, Rewire allowed for easy and seamless communication of MIDI and audio between DAWs without any latency issues, ensuring everything stayed in sync.
