For a limited time, you can purchase SubLab, an audio workshop by Future, for only $10. Additionally, NUSofting has released a beta version of their Glitch Pad Synth plugin for Windows, which is available for free until the end of March. This experimental synthesizer is now accessible to the public for testing purposes.
The Glitch Pad public beta is currently accessible for 64-bit Windows in both VST2 and VST3 formats.
NUSofting usually offers both Windows and Mac versions for their complete plugin releases. Therefore, Mac users can most likely participate in the action when the 1.0 version is released.
The plugin's roots date back many years to when the Glitch Pad SynC Modular patch was first released in 2002.
Luigi, the founder of NUSofting, has recently revamped the initial algorithm and developed an enhanced oscillator, culminating in the creation of a brand-new VST synthesizer.
The latest edition of the software is programmed using C++ as its base language and can be accessed in a preliminary beta version through the developer's website, which is provided as a link below.
The beta version is completely operational and consists of 23 preconfigured settings.
Luigi has simplified the process of downloading the plugin by making it a one-click process. There is no need to login or provide personal information to obtain the Zip file.
On YouTube, someone has already created an unofficial demonstration of the Glitch Pad, featuring a unique and nostalgic sound.
The synthesizer would be a perfect choice for genres like ambient music, experimental soundtracks, and video game compositions.
The preset names give clues about the various styles, such as echo dream, echo pendulum, foggy voices, slow choir, and washed choir.
When you first look at the interface for Glitch Pad, there is a lot of information to absorb.
In terms of appearance and design, there are areas that could be enhanced. However, considering that it is a free beta version, one should only expect a certain level of improvement.
Towards the lower part of the interface, you will find a keyboard and a preset selector. Positioned above that, there is a graphical representation of the waveform.
According to the plugin's interface, users will be able to take part in the beta for a duration of two months, until March 2024 when it will expire.
It is uncertain if the Glitch Pad will be offered as a paid product or released as freeware after the beta phase, since NUSofting has previously released both paid and free versions of their products.
NUSofting is offering discounts on some of their synthesizers right now. If you enjoy the sounds you hear, it could be worth exploring their other products.
It is not specified whether the synth will continue to be available for free once the beta period is over.

"Please include in the title that this plugin is exclusively for Windows"… oh, you've already done that. I appreciate it, but unfortunately, it's been done too late. People from Apple are now complaining in the comment section, and it has become a well-known joke within the BPB community.

There is an equal amount of snobbery among Windows users as there is among Mac users. Even though I personally do not use a Mac, it is clear that the people who claim to be above the whole operating system debate are mostly Windows users. They are just as prevalent in the comments section.

This interesting little device has some great concepts, such as the functionality of the pitch envelope. It would greatly improve if it had a low-frequency oscillator (LFO) for each destination and more diverse shapes, including some unusual ones for better randomization. It is possible that these features are already being developed since it is still in the beta stage, but if not, it would be a great addition.

The Glitch Pad has the ability to produce impressive sounds! Luigi, the developer at Nusofting, has not received enough recognition for his work. It is truly remarkable!

That's great! However, I have a complaint. I really miss the feature called Rewire. I believe that if Rewire was still available, these beginner DAWs would be much more helpful because they could easily work alongside the DAWs we already use. It's unbelievable that such a useful tool is no longer available and hasn't been adequately replaced yet, despite the advancements in technology. Sure, there are alternatives like Ableton Link or a Bluetooth plugin, but Rewire allowed for seamless transmission and reception of MIDI and audio directly from the DAW without any issues or latency, while everything remained perfectly synchronized.
