The public beta version of Glitch Pad is currently accessible for 64-bit Windows operating systems in both VST2 and VST3 formats.
NUSofting usually releases their plugins for both Windows and Mac operating systems. Therefore, Mac users will likely have the opportunity to use the plugins when the 1.0 version is released.
The plugin has its roots in the Glitch Pad SynC Modular patch, which was released in 2002 and has been developed over the course of several decades.
Luigi, the founder of NUSofting, has recently modified the initial algorithm and developed an enhanced oscillator, leading to the creation of a brand-new VST synthesizer.
The latest edition of the software has been programmed directly in C++ and can be accessed in a preliminary beta version through the website of the developer, provided in the link below.
The beta version is completely operational and contains 23 pre-configured settings.
Luigi has simplified the process of downloading the plugin by making it just a single click. Users do not need to log in or provide any personal information to obtain the Zip file.
A video on YouTube has been released, featuring an unofficial demo of the Glitch Pad. The demo exhibits a unique sound that combines elements of retro music.
The synthesizer would be a perfect fit for genres like ambient music, experimental soundtracks, and video game music.
The names of the presets such as echo dream, echo pendulum, foggy voices, slow choir, and washed choir suggest the different styles that are being referred to.
At first look, the interface of Glitch Pad appears to be overwhelming with a lot of information to absorb.
In terms of appearance and arrangement, there is definitely some potential for enhancements. However, it's important to keep in mind that since it is still in its beta phase and free to use, we can only anticipate a certain level of quality.
Towards the lower part of the interface, you will find a keyboard and a preset selector. Above that, there is a graphical display of the waveform.
According to the plugin's interface, users will be given a two-month period to take part in the beta testing. The beta testing phase is scheduled to end in March 2024.

There is a significant amount of snobbery among Windows users. Even though I don't use a Mac myself, it is evident that the individuals who claim to be uninterested in the whole operating system debate are mostly Windows users. This attitude is also prevalent in the comments section.
Municipal
This product is quite interesting. It has some great concepts, such as the way the pitch envelope functions. However, it would greatly improve if it had a low-frequency oscillator (LFO) for each destination and more diverse shapes, including some unconventional ones, to enhance randomization. Since it is still in beta, it is possible that these improvements are already being addressed. But just in case they are not, it would be a great addition.

The Glitch Pad has the ability to produce impressive sounds. Luigi, the developer from Nusofting, has often been overlooked despite creating quality content. Truly impressive work!

That's great! However, I have a small complaint. I really miss the feature called "Rewire". I believe that if Rewire was still available, these beginner digital audio workstations (DAWs) would be much more beneficial. They would be able to easily work alongside the DAWs that we already use. It's crazy to think that as technology advances, such a useful feature is no longer available and hasn't been adequately replaced yet. Sure, there are options like Ableton Link or a Bluecat plugin, but Rewire allowed for seamless sending and receiving of MIDI and audio directly from the DAW without any issues or latency, while keeping everything in sync.
