After being cleared of all charges following his arrest last Monday, Chris Young confidently responded to the "trolls" who criticized him.
The artist used social media to share a surveillance video and address those who believed he was at fault for touching a law enforcement officer.
On Friday, the Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that he had completed his examination of the evidence, leading to the dismissal of charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had acknowledged their involvement in urging Young to keep his distance after he attempted to interfere with their license check.
The video obtained by Taste of Country depicts Young attempting to intervene and prevent an agent's actions, displaying minimal aggression. From one perspective, it is uncertain whether he made physical contact with the man or not.
The singer of the song "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he never made physical contact with anyone. He recently posted a video on TikTok where he addresses the incident publicly for the first time.
In response to those who are criticizing and advising against any physical contact with a police officer, the person states that they did not actually touch the officer.
Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer facing any legal consequences for the incident. He can now focus on promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
