Chris Young confidently addressed his detractors after having all charges dropped in relation to his arrest last Monday.
Using social media, the singer shared a surveillance video along with a message directed at those who criticized him for touching a law enforcement officer, asserting his innocence.
On Friday, the Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that he had completed his examination of the evidence, leading to the dismissal of charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had acknowledged their involvement in pressuring Young to keep his distance when he attempted to get involved in their license check.
Taste of Country has obtained a video that depicts Young's calm and non-aggressive behavior while attempting to prevent an agent from doing something. From one angle, it raises doubts about whether Young actually made physical contact with the man.
The singer of the song "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he never made physical contact with anyone. He recently posted a video on his TikTok account, where he addresses the incident publicly for the first time.
"I want to address those who are criticizing me, claiming that I physically engaged with a police officer. Just to clarify, I did not make any physical contact with him," he expresses.
Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer legally affected by the incident. He can now focus on promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
