In Los Angeles, California, a brave woman went to great lengths to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident took place outside of a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, who was walking her dog, and abruptly took the pet from her.
The woman held Onyx, a dog, and took him to a white car where another person was driving.
With great bravery, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He valiantly leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias expressed that he was determined to not release his grip on the windshield wipers of the car. He found himself taken aback as the vehicle continued to move down the street, gradually increasing in speed. This sudden turn of events caused him to panic and fear for his life. Zacharias shared this experience with CBS News.
Footage capturing the incident has become widely shared online, displaying Zacharias gripping onto the vehicle's bonnet.
In recounting the incident in a TikTok video, Zacharias shared that when her dog pulled on the leash, she initially thought he wanted to go smell something and decided to let go. However, to her surprise, a woman grabbed hold of her dog and began walking away with him. Zacharias took a stance by standing in front of the car and firmly told the woman that she couldn't leave because she had her dog. Despite her protest, the individuals in the car continued to drive towards her, pushing her onto the hood. Determined not to give up, Zacharias remained on the hood and declared that she wouldn't leave until her dog was returned to her. Eventually, the individuals in the car drove off, leaving her in a state of distress.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save his cute dog was unsuccessful. Despite holding on for a short distance, the car abruptly changed direction, causing him to be thrown off and sustain minor injuries. Unfortunately, Onyx, the dog, is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I engage in any activity because I wish I could do it with Onyx or that he could be a part of it. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I think about how I'm not buying anything for him. It's surprising how quickly time has passed – it feels like this situation just occurred, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department is currently under active investigation, which includes the examination of security footage, as reported by CBS.
