The song provides a glimpse into the personal backgrounds of the two artists, with Pardi portraying a cowboy due to his West Coast roots and Bryan representing a plowboy from a family of peanut farmers.
Pardi mentioned to Taste of Country Nights that he and Luke both felt that the song was perfect for them to sing together. The song is about cowboys and farmers.
Both singers have a history of including family members in their music videos. Bryan had his wife and mother appear in the video for his song "One Margarita" in 2020, which was set on a beach. Pardi, on the other hand, featured his Australian Cattle Dog named Cowboy in the video for his 2021 song "Tequila Little Time."
Pardi's latest release, "Cowboys and Plowboys," is his first new music since his Mr. Saturday Night album in 2022. He also released a Christmas album last year. In February, Pardi and his wife Summer had a baby named Presley, and they have announced that they are expecting their second child, another girl, in July.
