Jennifer Nettles, the host of a show on Fox, acknowledges that this season, the female contestants are displaying more emotions, energy, and reactions, which may result in some intense moments on the farm.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will showcase four farmers from different parts of the United States who are searching for their soulmates.
However, the unique aspect of this situation is that every farmer will choose five women from a group of 29 to live with them on their farm. This experience will provide the women with a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities and lifestyle of a farmer's wife.
Introducing the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, likes to refer to himself as a cowboy rather than a farmer because he is a "team roper". He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ferrell has been passionate about roping and riding since his childhood. As one of the older farmers on the show, he is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be with him but also be a caring mother to his child.
At 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a new farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. His large piece of land is home to many animals and an old cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Having been around horses since he was young and enjoying the outdoors, Kolinsky decided to pursue a farming career. He now runs his own farm with horses and cows.
Brandon Rogers, aged 29, manages a large farm in Center, Colorado that grows potatoes and barley across 1,000 acres of land. The town where he resides is very small, with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural land. He comes from a long line of farmers and grew up helping his father on the farm. Rogers is dedicated to running the family farm and carrying on the legacy that his father started.
Nathan Smothers, a 23-year-old farmer from Bartow, Florida, comes from a long line of citrus and cattle farmers. He manages a large property with 300 acres of farmland and 500 acres for cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers has had to mature quickly after his father's passing when he was 12, taking on responsibilities to support his mother and three sisters. He is the youngest farmer featured on the show but demonstrates wisdom beyond his years.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Fox at 9PM ET on Thursday, February 1st.
