Country music star Reba McEntire placed last in a chili cookoff judged by her partner Rex Linn. Despite being a cute couple, they don't show each other any favoritism in cooking competitions.
McEntire took part in a Hillbilly Chili Cookoff, where Linn served as one of the judges. Despite their personal connection, it did not influence the judging process in her favor.
McEntire actually ended up in the last place. As a consolation prize, she received a trophy depicting a chili pepper being flushed down a toilet.
McEntire displayed good sportsmanship by posting a video on social media of her unsuccessful cookoff experience, which featured her gracefully accepting her last place finish.

In a recent online appearance on CBS Mornings, McEntire discussed her unsuccessful experience at a chili cookoff and acknowledged that she has a good understanding of what went awry.
She forgot to add any spices, but instead added chili powder and hatch green chilis to the dish. She was following a Texas recipe and was feeling excited about how it would turn out.
Despite being Linn's girlfriend, she still ended up in last place. However, McEntire believes that her relationship with Linn may have softened the blow when the judges announced the news.
"Rex, one of the judges, approached me and quietly informed me. He expressed his apologies and when I asked who the winner was, he replied that it was not me."
"Then he gave me the award, which turned out to be a chili pepper in the shape of a toilet. So I made a joke about it," McEntire said.
Putting jokes aside, McEntire discussed her connection with Linn and what makes their relationship successful. They have been acquainted for a long time, meeting in 1991 during the filming of The Gambler Returns starring Kenny Rogers. However, they did not develop romantic feelings until they reunited in 2020. During this time, McEntire was married to her husband Narvel Blackstock, with whom she has a son named Shelby.
During a conversation with Rex, McEntire questioned why they hadn't connected sooner. Rex mentioned that one reason could be because she was previously married. McEntire describes Rex as fun and energetic, while noting that she has become more relaxed over time. She believes they have crossed paths at the perfect moment in their lives.
Following that, McEntire will be going to Las Vegas to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Additionally, she is working on a new comedy show that will bring her back together with some of the people who were involved in her popular TV show, Reba.
